Summary
He’s ready for his close up, but she’s the one calling the shots.
On the night of her graduation from film school, straight-laced Maddie Bauers fell completely out of character for an oh-my-god make-out session with a perfect stranger. Complete with the big O.
Seven years later, that romantic interlude is still fresh in her mind. That stranger is now a rich and famous actor. And she’s one very distracted camera assistant working on his latest production. She might consider another tryst…if he even remembers her.
Micah Preston does indeed remember Maddie. Too bad he’s sworn off Hollywood relationships. He allows himself as much sex as he likes—and oh, he does like—but anything more is asking for trouble. For the woman, not for him. Yet knowing Maddie could want more than a movie-set fling doesn’t stop him from pursuing her like a moth drawn to hot stage lights.
But as the shoot nears its end, it’s decision time. Is it time to call, “Cut!” on their affair, or is there enough material for a sequel?
Warning: Contains a dreamy movie star hero, a focus-pulling heroine, off-the-charts instant chemistry, steamy sex in near-public locations, and a new use for lip gloss.

Ashley’s Review 4.5 Stars!!
So the book starts off with the night that Madalyn (Maddie) Bauers graduates from film school. She has been studying to be the top of her class and hasn’t had time for a boyfriend. Her best friend, Bree, convinces her to go to a party where she feels as though she just doesn’t fit in, so she goes to sit in a secluded corner away from the mayhem. Here, Maddie meets Micah and lets her inhibitions go and ends up making out with him and even gets off.
Micah Preston has just finished filming a movie and is a wrap party trying to lay low before a meeting with a big named manager the next day. He meets Maddie is immediately drawn to her. After the night of making out like high-school kids, the only thing on his mind is to call her and see her again; only his manager tells him to steer clear of relationships, so he deletes Maddie from his contacts in his phone.
By fate, seven years later they both end up on the same set for a movie. Maddie is the assistant for the cameraman and Micah is a big-time movie star. They still have that instant attraction with each other. Will they rekindle their relationship, or is Micah’s fears of commitment keep them apart?
I have to say, I have loved Laurelin Paige since the Fixed Trilogy. Take Two for me isn’t any different. I loved this book! Everything drew me in, and I loved the characters. Maddie and Micah’s story really resonated with me as to how when people put their careers first, they end up lonely. Micah was just amazeballs. Having the book from both points of view helped get the whole story, so you didn’t think that Micah was a douchbag who forgot all about Maddie. I was so happy when they finally hooked up.
“You’re going to break me,” she whispered. But she was wrong. “You’re the one who’s going to break me.” She would. He knew it now. She was going to break him into so many pieces he wouldn’t be able to recognize himself. And he was totally looking forward to it.”
I mean…swoon. Being such a dreamy guy, he still doesn’t want Maddie to lose who she is and everything that she dreams about doing. Maddie would totally be my best friend in real life. She is so determined to follow her dreams, even with so many obstacles in her way. I honestly cannot wait until the next in the series. I gave this 4.5 out of 5 stars and I totally recommend it.
About Laurelin
Laurelin Paige is the NY Times and USA Today Bestselling Author of the Fixed Trilogy. She’s a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however. When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Mad Men and the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Adam Levine.
