Series: Fixed #4
Author: Laurelin Paige
Release Date: July 8, 2014
“I can easily divide my life into two parts—before her and after.”
Hudson Pierce has led a life few others could even imagine. With money and power at his fingertips, he’s wanted for almost nothing. He’s never experienced love, however, and he’s seen few examples of it in his dysfunctional family. The ridiculous notion of romance has always intrigued him. He’s studied it, controlled it, manipulated it, and has yet to understand it.
Until he meets Alayna Withers.
Now, the games he’s played in his quest for comprehension can finally come to an end. Or are they just beginning?
Told from his point of view, Hudson fills the holes in his love story with Alayna Withers. His past and relationship with his long-time friend Celia is further revealed and light is shed on his actions during his courtship with Alayna.
MUST BE READ AFTER THE FIXED TRILOGY.

So I have been waiting for this book to come out ever since I finished reading the last book in the Fixed Trilogy, since there was an excerpt at the end. I don’t think I could have ever imagined that I could love Hudson Pierce more than I already did, but Laurelin Paige just made me fall flat on my face. So for that, please take a well-deserved bow Laurelin!
Hudson is the companion book to all three books in the Fixed Trilogy, Fixed on you, Found in You, and Forever with You, from Hudson’s point of view. Let me tell you, it does not disappoint! I will say that you will want to read the first three books before because this is not a stand-alone book. Hudson is told from both before and after meeting Alayna.
I have to say I loved being able to see the entire story from Hudson’s point of view, especially the flashbacks from when he was younger. He seemed so emotionally detached from everything it was wonderful to see him grow as a person throughout the book. Even his interactions with Celia gave me more insight to who Hudson is and how strongly he really felt for Alayna and protecting her.
“Before her I never really lived. So there is only after. I begin and end with her.”
I adored seeing Hudson and Alayna’s love story unfold from his point of view. My heart broke for him when he couldn’t tell her everything that was going on, and how much it killed him to know he was hurting her by lying.
“God, she’s amazing. She’s everything that I never knew I wanted. I’m addicted to her – she’s my drug and I can’t get enough of my fix. But she’s also just the opposite. She’s my cure. She’s a balm that eases and relieves me. She’s rehabilitation. She’s remedy. She’s reason.”
Honestly, I cannot gush enough about this book. This was definitely 5 stars for me, If you have not gotten acquainted with Hudson and Alayna, I highly recommend you do so ASAP.
