All I wanted from him was one night of no strings attached SEX.
What I got was more than I ever bargained for.
**This is the complete serial. Volumes 1, 2 and 3 of The Unlimited Series.***
Reviewed by Ashley 4 out of 5 stars for the series!
We start off in Volume 1 , Candace Greene is a book editor who is tired of her celibate life. She and her ex-husband had been married for fifteen years when he dropped the bomb stating that he wanted a divorce, and left her for his secretary. On the one year anniversary of their divorce, Candace decides that she is going to put herself out there and join a website SexUnlimited.com since she really misses having sex and the physical connection with someone else. After uploading her information she receives a hot ass message from Brisban Calloway.
“I won’t try to impress you with boastful words. If you’re on this site for mind-blowing sex, and a lot of it, then I would venture to say that trying to impress you with well worded niceties is of no value. Instead, I’ll tell you what I’m looking for and if you’re looking for something similar then I look forward to your reply.
I like to fuck. Hard. I like to fuck slowly. I also enjoy making love. I like to be pleasured. I love to give pleasure. I like to laugh. I like to make others laugh. I love the female body and testing its limits.”
This starts their meetings for sex with no strings attached. Holy god, Brisban is hot. He is completely blunt with what he’s looking for both in and out of the bedroom. He knows what he wants and has no qualms about it. Definitely a good start to this series.
Volume two picks up right where book one left, where James, Candace’s ex-husband, is trying to get her back. Candace is totally on the fence as to whether she can ever forgive him for what he did to her and their marriage. Is it as easy to just forgive and forget, or is their relationship really over? James has made it clear that he is willing to fight for her.
In the meantime, Brisban and Candace’s relationship is starting to grow into something more than just sex. Candace is trying to fight anything but their hook-ups but Brisban is completely on board to do more than just have sex.
“Sex is more than the physical act itself. When we have dinner tomorrow night, I’ll be fucking your mind the entire time.”
As their relationship progresses, some of Brisban’s past comes into light. Is it something both Brisban and Candace can get through, or will it be too much for their very new relationship?
I have to say, that each volume of the series just seems to keep getting better. Even with the short novellas, it is so easy to make connections with the characters. I really cannot wait to see what will happen at the ending of this series.
Volume three continues on and Candace has just had a major realization to Brisban’s past and she is trying to come to grips with it.
“Am I Alice and is this a dark rabbit hole where ex-wives – who are really wives – give booty call girl’s addresses to their not so ex-husband?”
Regardless of everything happening with Brisban’s past, he is unwavering from what he wants with Candace. He wants their relationship and for Candace to know what she has done for him in their short time together.
“You’ve given me hope again. A person without hope is perpetually lost. Hope is a gift and it fires the desires for more in life.”
Through all the bumps in the road for their relationship, this series does have a HEA. I have to say, this is my first time reading anything by Kathryn Perez and now I will be going through all of her books. There was a lot of information in each of the stories and they linked together amazingly. This series gets 4 out of 5 stars for me.
Kathryn lives in her small East Texas hometown with her family. She ‘s a music infused writer and self-proclaimed book junkie. When she isn’t listening to music, writing or reading you’ll probably find her watching her favorite sport, UFC.
Kathryn is also an anti-bullying advocate and avid supporter of mental-illness and suicide awareness.
