Jay Crownover is a writing mastermind. I’ve read all of her Marked Men books and have loved the whole series. She is able to weave a tale so well you feel like part of the story.

Rowdy St. James was no different. I was intrigued with his character from the beginning & he did not disappoint. The insight into what makes him tick is heartbreaking. His backstory is beautifully sad. Finding his home with the Marked Men family through Uncle Phil, he’s made a life for himself but refuses to let his heart free after having it crushed and left alone on numerous occasions.

Salem Cruz has been running from her childhood and has run straight toward Rowdy even after she left him 10 years prior.

“I was trying to climb up him, trying to get inside of him…” Salem

Their reunion is one of confusion and avoidance but when they finally come together and give each other a chance it becomes a perfectly imperfect love story.  Can they both manage to get over their fears of each other and  help each other move on from the past and realize the both deserve love?

Jay’s ability to involve the whole cast of characters in each book of the series as well as introduce new characters is amazing. Her books flow nicely into the next and leave you waiting impatiently for the next one.
