*Blog Tour* Love Hurts and Love Burns by Mandi Beck

Even when she won’t fight for us, I’ll go to war for her…

Inside the Octagon, I have no fear. I’m at home, in my element, inflicting pain onto men trained to hurt me just as badly. Making them submit, knocking them out, maiming them, because it’s them or me. And I choose them.

Outside the Octagon, my only weakness is a five-foot-two, classy as fuck woman that I’ve loved for most of my life. She’s the one that brings me to my knees, fills my arms, my heart, and one day soon, my bed. She makes me reckless. Volatile. I drink too much and try too hard to fuck my way out of feeling—all because of her.

Frankie De Rosa is my girl, my best friend. I haven’t earned her yet, but I won’t stand by and let anyone take her from me. She will be the greatest fight of my life, but she’s worth the battle.

Love hurts, but anything worth having does, right?

I’m Deacon “The Hitman” Love — Welcome to the Cage.

Oh Deacon… I highly suggest that you have copious amounts of kleenex on hand for this book! Mandi Beck will break your heart, rip it out of your chest, and stomp on it until it is absolutely crushed (all in the best way possible!)! I LOVED this book! I absolutely cannot wait for more!!! Write fast lady!! 😉

you feel me teaser

It’s my name. It’s what I fight for. It’s Frankie.

I’m a fighter. Trained to always keep my cover. To anticipate, see the next hit coming. I never expected her past to come at us swinging like it has.

I’m about to take on two of the most important fights of my life. My girl and the belt. I know that I can handle it. That I’ll never stop fighting. But, what do you do when your life, your love is threatened and you can’t take the hits – she has to? You shut your eyes and fucking pray like hell that she’s strong enough, fierce enough to come out on top.

I went to war for her. Now it’s her turn.

Freaking amazing! I was lucky enough to receive a copy of this book early for my honest review and I cannot convey how much I loved this book!! Mandi Beck hit this one out of the park without a doubt!

”She’s about to be wooed whether she wants to be or not. I’m coming for my girl, guns blazing. It’s time to go to war.”

Frankie and Deacon have a complicated past. They are head over heals in love but sometimes love isn’t enough. They have a life long history together and with that comes a lifetime of hurts and a lifetime of love.

“We can’t keep doing this, Deac. We’re not resolving any of our issues. I can’t think though, the minute you put your hands on me, I’m done. I can’t remember what I need to protect myself from or why I’m angry, hurt, whatever. All I can think about is your touch and what it does to me. What it means to me.”

In Love Burns we learn more about Andrew, Frankie’s former fiance, and the trouble that he was in as well as how involved he had Frankie in it.

Deacon is a typical alpha cave man, always hot and bothered, always protecting what’s his in whatever way he feels is best.

“Be mad all the fuck you want, Princess. I was protecting you and I didn’t tell you because I figured the less you knew, the less trouble you could be pulled into and I didn’t want you to be scared any more than you already are.”

Frankie however is not a push over. She has a back bone and Deacon is going to figure this out.

“You can’t just keep shit from me because you think it’s what’s best for me! Regardless of what you think, I am a grown ass woman. A competent woman. A smart woman, Deacon. You don’t get to make my decisions for me.”

I can’t say much without giving the story line away but this book was absolutely fantastic! I have been dying to get my hands on this book and it definitely did not disappoint. I highly recommend this set to anyone!!

Love Burns where I want to be

Mandi Beck has been an avid reader all of her life. A deep love for books always had her jotting down little stories on napkins, notebooks, and her hand. As an adult she was further submerged into the book world through book clubs and the epicness of social media. It was then that she graduated to writing her stories on her phone and then finally on a proper computer.
A nursing student, mother to two rambunctious and somewhat rotten boys, and stepmom to two great girls away at college, she shares her time with her husband in Chicago where she was born and raised. Mandi is a diehard hockey fan and blames the Blackhawks when her deadlines are not met.
Love Hurts is her debut novel and she is currently working on the next in the series along with whatever other voices are clamoring for attention in her mind.
