Ryder Axton…OMG Ryder.
Ryder Axton is a bounty hunter and part of the Brothers of Ink and Steel. He has had a rough childhood which lead him to be the man he is now. Ryder is sent on a mission to capture a drug cartel kingpin but the mission changes because of circumstances beyond his control and he finds himself rescuing college student Rachel Farrington.
Rachel was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Her poor timing results in a life threatening situation for her that she can’t see a way out of.
Defy is the story of Rachel and Ryder and the complications that arise while Ryder is trying to rescue and protect Rachel. We see both Rachel and Ryder open up and begin to process the thought of loving someone and letting someone into their hearts and lives.
I absolutely loved this book! I only wish it were longer! I can’t wait to see what else Allie Juliette has in store and I hope we see more of Ryder and Rachel as the series goes on.
