synopsis

After two years in a coma, August Kinkaid has forgotten the darkness in his past. But his past hasn’t forgotten him. His beautiful former fiancée, Everly, remembers every tumultuous moment of their stormy relationship. The sizzling passion. The web of lies. And the terrible secret Everly’s been hiding since her last fateful night with August.

Now the truth is out and August remembers everything. As his long-buried memories come flooding back, he begins to understand why Everly would want to move on with her life. Why she would give her heart to another man. And why August should try to forget her once and for all.

But he can’t give up on the only woman he’s ever loved. Even if he has to reopen old wounds–and face the darkest demons of his past–August will do whatever it takes for a second chance with Everly. He let her slip away once. He’s not about to spend the rest of his life remembering Everly when he could be holding her in his arms forever . . .

review

Where do I start?  I suppose I should start with the most important thing I want to point out.  The Lost & Found Duet by J.L. Berg is hands down her best writing to date.  Now, I’ve read every single book this author has written, a lot of her characters have been my favorites at one point or another.  Then she would write something else and those characters would overtake my heart.  However, I just simply can’t see that happening with August and Everly.  These characters just stole my heart and high tailed away with it. I know, I say that now and she will have me eating my words the next novel she pours her soul into and puts out.   One thing is certain; I will always be Remembering Everly!

This story is not one you will forget.  Just like Everly couldn’t forget August, you won’t be able to forget them!  When I finished I was left in a serious book funk.  This series has all the feels.  You will laugh, you’ll cry and you will surely fall in love.  A suspenseful rollercoaster of a read with twists and turns that keep you anticipating and it will have your heart in a vise grip the entire time.  Your heart will hurt, heal and it will forgive.

The writing in the Lost & Found Duet series is flawless and simply radiant.  J.L. Berg continues to deliver exceptionally written beautiful novels and when I think she can’t go further beyond she does.  Forgetting August and Remembering Everly are solid proof of that.  There is no limit to what this author will achieve and I promise this series is a solid FIVE STAR series.  A must read for any romance lover.
