Well if you’ve read the first two books in this series Broken by Lies and Bound by Lies then I am sure, if you are like me you were dying to have Sam’s story. You first met him in Alex’s story (which is AHMAZING) and I’ve been chomping at the bit to get Sam’s story and my oh my what a story it turned out to be.
We may have been waiting a bit for this but it was so worth it! Sam doesn’t disappoint! Trying to move on from his injury over a year ago Sam ends up in L.A still working for the ATF. He keeps to himself and wants to dive back into work in this new city. His new boss Nick suggests a rental for him that is owned by his sister. Sam just wants a place to call home but what he didn’t expect was a place to find his future!
Kate is a serious workaholic. She is all work no play but when she meets this tall, dark and handsome stranger wanting to rent her house feelings come rushing in and she starts to let her guard down, so does Sam.
Watching Sam and Kate’s relationship grow was magical, especially knowing what Sam has been through. It was sweet, sexy, hot and heart-wrenching. Everything you want in a great read and Rebecca Shea knows how to deliver it!
While we get their entire story (perfectly done I may add) I can’t help but want more of Sam. Don’t get me wrong I loved Alex and Emilia, so when they popped into this story I squealed but there is just something about Sam. Call me greedy but I want more, I didn’t want the book to end.
This is a must read series! Betrayed by Lies made me absolutely seriously melt. I loved every single second of it and I am so happy Rebecca Shea decided to give us Sam’s story.
