From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward, comes a new, sexy standalone novel.
It seemed like a good idea at the time. Look up Landon Roderick, that boy from childhood whom I’d never been able to forget—even though he so easily forgot about me—and call him.
Then again, anything sounds like a good idea when you’ve had a little too much wine before bed, right? It was supposed to be just a quick, meaningless, prank call. Instead, I went off on him—unloading thirteen years of pent-up emotions.
I didn’t think he’d call me back.
I certainly could never have anticipated the weeks of sexually tense phone conversations that followed as I got to know the man he’d become.
Turned out, Landon had never really forgotten me, either. That special connection we had was still there. I opened up to him, but there were also things about me he didn’t know. And he had his own secrets.
Over the countless hours we talked on the phone, I wondered what would happen if we actually saw each other. One night, I did something impulsive again. Only this time, I went to the airport and booked a ticket to California. We were about to find out if one phone call could bring two lost souls together or if my drunk dial really was all just a big mistake.
A complete STANDALONE.

Have you ever drunk dialed someone? Me, nah I haven’t but if I ever did I sure as hell hope that a man like Landon would be on the other end of that line. I started this book and seriously did not put it down until the very end and even then, I didn’t want it to end. Yep, I’m a greedy bookworm for sure!
Rana hasn’t had it easy. She had a tough time growing up, tough time with her self-worth forcing her to make drastic changes to her life along the way. Rana is beautiful, smart, a good head on her shoulders but made some bad choices and has a past. Now she’s dancing as belly dancer, lives with a creepo named Lenny for a roommate and just trying to keep her head above water. She’s certainly taken the bumpy road to get to where she is now no mistaking that.
One tough night at her job and a whole bottle of wine later has her thinking of the past. She wants answers, she wants to speak her mind and she’s laser focused on one thing other than the glorious now empty bottle of wine and that’s Landon. Her childhood friend, her only friend and the boy she couldn’t stop thinking of. So she lucks out finds his number, he picks up, she speaks her peace. Of course she has that o’shiet moment when after hanging up he dials her right back and as soon as he says “Rana Banana” her childhood nickname she knows he hasn’t forgotten her just like she never forgot him. There is no turning back from this drunk dial and so the story begins my friends.
Rana still thinks Landon is Rich, spoiled, living in a mansion but boy does she have it wrong. Landon has secrets of his own, a past he doesn’t want to share and Rana is holding back too. When these two finally start breaking down the walls it truly is an epic, romantic, whirlwind of a second chance love story that will surely keep you reeled in from start to finish.
Once again Penelope Ward has whipped me into her world. Making me WISH I would get a drunk dial call from someone like Landon. He’s so sweet, loving and so incredibly caring and ALL MAN! I laughed, I swooned and I even cried, but it was a happy tears of joy kind of cry because my heart was melting. This story had it all and I am still smiling ear to ear thinking about the way it all ended up. Who says Drunk Dials are worthless mistakes that might be a fun laugh? One Drunk Dial can lead you to your next love, your second chance or might lead you to having a stalker, lol. Just kidding, no seriously it could. Anyhoo, I can promise you this drunk dial will leave your heart in a puddle of lovey dovey goo and leave you feeling all the feels! Kudos to Ms. Ward for another amazing story! I can’t wait until the next!
