Six years ago, the only girl I ever loved moved away. She said she’d come back to me. She promised she’d write. She swore she’d always be mine, but Evie Harper lied.
Now, Evie’s back, and this time, I’m not letting her go without a fight.
Before senior year, I was forced to move away, leaving behind the only boy I ever loved. He said he’d love me forever. He promised nothing would tear us apart. He swore he’d wait for me, but Jack Nelson lied.

Mend is a second chance stand alone novel by Chelle Bliss. It is in no way connected to any of her other books and is completely unlike all of her other books.
When I think of Chelle Bliss, I think of alpha men and abundant steam. This book was a slow burn, true love story. There is so much emotion in this book, I can’t even begin to describe all the feels here.
Evie and Jack where high school sweethearts. They had it all planned out until Evie left and never came back.
Fast-forward 6 years. Evie has returned to deal with the death of her father and all that entails. Both parties thought that they had moved on but when they are face to face, they quickly realize that their love is still very much alive. Has history done too much damage? Are past miscommunications more than Jack and Evie can overcome?
This book was flipping phenomenal. There was a little less steam than her other books but I did not in any way feel like I missed out because there wasn’t Men of Ink level steam. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a good second chance true love story.
