I love a good forbidden romance.  The brothers best friend is probably one of my most favorites for sure, because it’s always going to have explosive drama!   Farrah has had a crush on Jace forever, but while she secretly crushed she never acted it because her brother Nathan would literally have a cow.  Jace isn’t a stick around kind of guy either, but something clicks between them especially once Jace moves in with Farrah and Nathan.    He tries he damnedest to deny the attraction but when it’s there it’s just there.   Both of these characters have baggage that is for sure.   This book is a story of loss, guilt and a little of everything else inbetween.   I always enjoy all of Penelope Wards books and this one was no different.
