Alex did not impress me even a little bit in book 1 of this series. The brash, does what he wants, cares for no one hockey player who’s pissed to be working for his ex? I was so not interested in his story but Aspen intrigued me. The quiet, polite, office assistant suddenly single and living with her boss and her boss’s new beau. How did we land there? Alex did manage to redeem himself to some degree throughout this book and we got to see a different side to him and to Aspen. While not my all time favorite Kendall Ryan novel – this was ended up being more solid than I had anticipated, which shouldn’t surprise me about Kendall’s writing.
