“I’ve never in my life felt this feeling … I’ve never in my life wanted anything more than for her to be mine.”
This book had so many feels and I. Am. Here. For. It!!!
Julia and Chase have known each other for years. Their families are friends. Their families are family. They’ve been friends but nothing more.
Chase has settled back into life after his last Doctors Without Borders trip and is getting his thrills in the ER these days.
Julia is a social worker and has seen plenty but nothing could have prepared her for the phone call she received or the events that followed.
One thing, well one person, remained her constant, even when she tried to push him away, even when she didn’t want to want him to be there. *The tears were real folks. I recommend reading with Kleenex.*
Of course in the feels there has to be some laughter and Piper Rayne don’t disappoint there!
“Julia.” My father looks at her. “Honey, we take care of our women.”
“And when they don’t listen, we kidnap them,” Max says to my father.
“I didn’t kidnap her.” He smirks. I tied her to the bed with handcuffs.” Michael and Dylan roll their lips, trying not to laugh. “She loved every minute of that.”
“Yup,” Wilson says, “time for me to go.” He shakes his head. “I never want to hear that my in-laws use handcuffs.”
“You think that is hard?” Cooper says, getting up. “Those are my parents.” He looks at our dad. “Never repeat that to anyone at any time. Ever.”
The Made For Series is a continuation of previous series by this author, and while the back story is nice, you could probably have a fuzzy idea of the familial histories without it.
Meet Natasha Madison
When her nose isn’t buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she’s in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It’s a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn’t listen to her…
