Ward’s newest release Moody was spicy, sexy and just what I needed to get me out of my little book slump I fell into. Everyone is absolutely going to fall in love with Dax and Wren.
I don’t want to spoil anything but I loved the little twist and how it was written. This book had the usual banter, spice and everything nice! I’m gonna let you fly into this one blind as I really think any more info would ruin this gem. Just go ahead and grab this one now and enjoy the “Moody” ride!
I really feel like a broken but in the BEST way record when I write reviews by this author. I honestly love every single book she’s put out in this bookish loving world for us readers! I adored both Evie and Merrick so,so much! And Kitty, Kitty is a woman that I could only wish was my grandma, oh the fun we would have getting into to trouble. She was a fiesty, fiery lady that loved with her whole being and really brought this book full circle.
The Boss Project was certainly a slower burner but not a slow feel while reading. It had everything you want and expect when picking up one of Keeland’s books. Evie and Merrick both struggled letting go and letting themselves fall into one another because of their pasts. Their chemistry was undeniable from the get go and watching them both open up through the book just warmed my heart. They may have been nudged along the way a bit by a certain fun lovin lady. As always it wasn’t an easy, smooth paved road for either them with lots of bumps along their ride but oh what a sweet ride it was. Their initial meeting may have gone completely “Cherry Pittin” wrong, but the ending was Oh So Right! Another Vi Keeland favorite for me and one of my top sizzlin’ summer reads!
This book was a cute and fun read. It was light and easy to get through. I did enjoy this enemies to lovers romance and the way it all came together in the end with Aspen and Troy. I loved all the little “sprinkles” along the way reading as well. I found myself giggling especially with Nonno and really loved Troy’s character but found myself having a hard time really connecting with Aspyn for some odd reason. I keep trying to put my finger on it but I think it was because of her simply just taking forever to realize things you do as a teen, MOST don’t do as an adult. Once she finally came to this realization and let go a bit, I found myself liking her more as the book went on. Oh and let’s not forget about Kiki an Menses the Unicorn, I damn near spit out my drink at that one! Such an adorable little girl, clever and so oh witty! I love how Troy connected with her, it really melted my ice cold heart!
Nonno 1000% stole the show in this book for me! While this one wasn’t one of my favorites from one of my go to authors, I still enjoyed it none the less. It was well written, with a good story line. It had all the feels and certainly packed full of cute moments and laughter. As always I can’t wait to see what Ms. Ward brings us next!
Who knew a Blind Date would turn into one hell of a whirlwind gorgeous romance! Well, a blind date that really wasn’t your blind date. Max can’t resist when he sees a gorgeous woman sitting alone at the restaurant and went walking her way, but when Georgia asked if he was Adam, Max being Max said “sure”. All was well till Adam walked up. I knew from that point that I was going to love his character. Needless to say Georgia wasn’t too happy because this gorgeous killer smile stranger just lied to her face. But Max wasn’t giving up, he leaves her to her real date but not without leaving an invitation to meet him at a Hockey Game, and it wasn’t just any Hockey Game. It was HIS game!
This book was full of a sprinkle of everything. It was funny, emotional, angsty, sweet and sexy. I really enjoyed every single moment of this story. Max is a swoon-worthy Hockey player and has mad skills on and off the ice, that is for sure. Georgia is sweet, smart, successful and strong. I really enjoyed all the characters and the direction of the story. In true Vi fashion she wrapped it up and finished it off with a nice pretty book bow!
I really enjoyed Well Played. I say this every review with anything written by these two authors, but I really do think they are a dynamic duo that can write incredibly well and compliment each other in anything they publish.
Well Played all starts with Presley’s young son Alex inheriting her Ex’s grandfathers Inn, well a portion of it that is. The other portion was inherited by Levi, who happens to be the Ex’s brother. She moved Alex away from the NY into a small town in hopes for a better life. The only problem is she wants to fix up in the Inn and plant roots in the small town, but Levi has other plans to sell and wants no parts of it and go back to his life as a star QB.
Can Presley change Levi’s mind into not selling? And, what happens along the way between these two especially considering the Ex is Levi’s brother Tanner? Things could go down as the worst play in playbook history or it can turn out to be the best Well Played game of all time! Gotta read to find out, trust me you won’t be disappointed!
From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward, comes a new standalone novel. The one that got away. Every girl has one, right?Mine was a charming, British aristocrat who turned my world upside down one summer. From the moment I first spotted Leo in the distance through my binoculars, I’d been captivated. I certainly never expected to find a man showering outside of the property across the bay in his birthday suit. Then I noticed his housemate staring back at me with binoculars of his own—watching me watching Leo.That made for an interesting conversation starter when I inevitably ran into them.Turned out, the handsome Brits were only renting that house for the summer in my seaside town.Leo and I formed an instant connection, even though we were technically opposites by all appearances. I taught him how to dig for clams, and he taught me that not all wealthy and powerful guys are pretentious.Despite knowing he was totally wrong for me, I couldn’t seem to stay away.It was a wild and crazy few months. And before I knew it, we’d fallen in love.We both had one wish: more time together. But Leo had obligations back home. He lived a life I’d never fit into. And I was going to law school. So, we decided to end it and never look back.A part of me always felt like I’d let my soulmate walk away.I believed our story was over.Until five years later when he sent me a letter that shook me to my core.I’d thought my world was turned upside down that first summer?Well, I knew nothing yet.
Before I even met Donovan Decker, I knew his shoe size. You see, I’d gone away for a few days, and in my haste to get out of the airport, I’d grabbed the wrong suitcase. After checking out the expensive footwear and tailored clothes, I dialed the number on the luggage tag hoping maybe Mister Big Spender might have my bag.A deep, velvety voice answered, and as luck would have it, he had my suitcase, too.Donovan and I met at a coffee shop to do the exchange.Turned out, it wasn’t just his voice that was sexy. The man holding my luggage was absolutely gorgeous, and we had an immediate spark. He got me to admit that I’d snooped in his bag and then convinced me to make it up to him by letting him buy me coffee.Coffee led to dinner, dinner led to dessert, and dessert led to spending an entire weekend together. Donovan wasn’t just handsome with a panty-dropping voice. He was also funny, smart, and surprisingly down to earth for a man who wore seven-hundred-dollar shoes.Did I mention he also did my laundry while I slept?Definitely too good to be true.So what did I do to repay him for his kindness?I waited until he was in the shower, then ghosted him.My life was too complicated for such a great guy.In the months that passed, I thought about Donovan often. But New York City had eight-million people, so what were the chances I’d run into him? Then again, what were the chances I’d run into him a year later…when I’d just started dating his boss?
Who would’ve known a little luggage mix up could lead to this kind of SPARK! A little meet up to exchange the mistaken luggage which leads to some coffee and fabulous weekend together, had the making of a great relationship right? Except when Donovan woke up, Autumn was gone like the wind.
Fast forward to almost a year later and once again they find themselves face to face. Autumn doesn’t want any kind of commitment but she’s now got a boyfriend. That boyfriend happens to be Donovan’s boss which poses a bit of a problem since he hasn’t forgotten about Autumn and it seems she hasn’t forgotten about him either. When these two have to spend more time together are sparks going to fly or is a blow up of epic proportions going to happen?
This book was cute, funny, sexy and kept me intrigued the entire time. I absolutely adored and loved these characters and the storyline!
Molly is in desperate need for a roommate and so far every woman has come to her door has been a complete dud for one reason or another. Enter D. Tate… who is certainly NOT a woman by any means but he was sure he could make his new perspective roomie, see it his way. I was sure Declan was on his way to winning Molly over with his charming charisma but Molly wasn’t having until her love for frosting changed her mind! I loved the banter between Declan and Molly from the start. I knew I was going to love these two and I was right, I totally did!
These two became total besties fast, but we could tell the feelings were certainly brewing but neither one of them wanted to admit it since they were both crushing on other people at their jobs. But you know what they say, ya always want what someone else has, day late, dollar short kinda thing. Question is, is it going to be TOO late to NOT PRETEND ANYMORE? I adored this book and read it one sitting! I give this one a Five Pink M&Ms!!
