JUST ONE YEAR IS LIVE!
From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward, comes a new standalone novel.
The beginning of my sophomore year in college was off to a rough start.
On the first day of orientation, I had an altercation with an infuriating British dude in a campus bathroom.
(The ladies’ room was out of order. So, I used the men’s room. Don’t judge.)
I got home later that night and realized that the foreign student we were expecting to rent a room in my parents’ house was allergic to our cat.
So, the spare room went to someone else: Caleb—the British guy from the men’s room.
And so it began…my love-hate story with Caleb Yates. Or was it hate-love in that order?
The guy knew how to push every one of my buttons.
Sometimes I’d email him to express my aggravation and disdain.
He’d actually rewrite my own words and send them back to me.
That was the type of infuriating person Caleb was.
Sometimes incredibly funny and endearingly sweet.
He eventually grew on me, and Caleb soon became one of my best friends that year.
Too bad he was headed back to England soon, so nothing could happen between us—for so many reasons.
I definitely couldn’t fall in love with him, especially since all we had was just one year.
This book was pure LOVE at first “smell” for me *snickers*. I absolutely flat out adored Caleb and all his British charm from the get go. There was no having to make me fall in love with character, it happened effortlessly and instantly.
I loved Caleb and Teagan’s friends to lovers romance. Just One Year had me laughing out loud and also tugged at my heart strings while being completely swoon worthy in true Penelope Ward fashion.
Both of these characters have troubled pasts and I loved reading how they help each other work through them and watching their story unfold. This book was fast paced and kept me interested the entire time. I read this beauty in one sitting which this author seems to have a knack for making me do with just about every single one of her books. I never want to stop till the very last word!
I can’t wait to see what she gives us next. Ms. Ward has always and will continue to be a go-to one-click author for me as I am sure to love whatever story she gives us!

I couldn’t stop it, I fell in love with her. Even though I knew, in the end, she would leave me.

This book was beyond words amazing. Oh the feels – all of the feels!
Willow Bradley grew up with the Daniels brothers as a part of her family, not blood but always there. Xander was the older, wiser brother with all of his ducks in a row. Sullivan was the innocent, good brother, and Camden was the black sheep.
After having not been home in over a decade, Camden returns to Alba at the request of a voicemail left by his not always with is father. The same father that blamed him for the death of his younger brother and the love of Willow’s life. The same father that has been losing himself to early onset Alzheimer’s Disease.
Being the town’s black sheep that came home after being gone that long is daunting enough, add in the fact that the reason he is home is to help his father get the DNR order that Xander has denied him, and the whole town is automatically against him.
Secrets and half truths have been spread for years. What happens when the truth comes out?
I feel like I can’t say a whole lot because I absolutely do not want to give anything away. Bottom line – everyone should read this book. You won’t regret it.

I built myself up from nothing. A product of the foster care system, I learned early on how to fight hard to get what I want. Whether it was starting my first company in college, earning my first billion, or buying my first professional sports team, I know how to get what I want, when I want it.
Willow Monahan is fierce, independent, and hot as hell. She also takes great pleasure in shutting down my advances. The younger sister of one of my star players, Willow intrigues me to my very core. And while she may have willingly given me her body, she is hesitant to offer up more. Now I’m on a mission to find out why.
I’ve decided to approach my desire for Willow like I’ve approached much of my life; with persistence, determination, and a whole lot of that Dominik Carlson alpha charm. Buying a hockey expansion team, building the Arizona Vengeance from the ground up, and bringing home a championship may prove to be an easier feat than winning Willow’s heart.
But I’ve never been a quitter.
Willow Monahan… I’m coming for you.
