I am a huge fan of Nashoda Rose, loved every single one of her books.  So, when I saw this I had no hesitation in reading because she wrote it.  I don’t normally read paranormal romances, but I think TAKE just changed my tune!   This book was downright amazing!!!

Jasper is considered rogue scar assassin – one who exudes arrogance and some serious sexuality.  In short he is a complete asshole and I love it.  He uses it to his advantage, never letting emotions get in the way.  He uses people, gets the job done.  If he’s assigned something, he completes it without hesitation, without reserve.  It works for him, rinse, wash repeat.  However, that takes a drastic turn when his new assignment Max comes into play.   He tries so hard to push what is brewing aside and even refuses to admit it to himself.  A soulless cocky asshole is finally starting to FEEL.  Feeling is something foreign to him, something that left him a long time ago when the unthinkable happened in his past.

Max has been hiding out for 4 years.  Taken 10 years ago by Drake and held captive.  She escaped and has completely shut off her emotions, protecting herself from anyone that could force her to serve them again to use her completely for their benefit only.  She found safe haven with Xamien, he never asked questions and has protected her he is her family.   Being numb, she never thought anyone could force their way in and penetrate her mind.  That was, until Jasper took her as a job.  Until her past comes back to haunt her, until she is wanted again.

What a fantastic ride this book was.  Both Max and Jasper are such strong characters.  Their connection was undeniable.  The banter between them was incredible.  This was so much more than a Paranomal Romance.   TAKE, was lust, want, desperation, heartache and a burning hot attraction between two amazing characters.   Jasper might come off as a complete jackass but you can’t help but love him from the very beginning.  Max might seemed closed off, but you feel like your inside her heart as you read.  You feel the hurt of her past and you’ll feel the tragedy and yearning in Jaspers.

This book is a must read!  I picked it up and didn’t stop until I finished.  I laughed, I hurt and I cried.  Nashoda’s writing is simply amazing.  You don’t just read words, you feel them.  You will want more and I can guarantee you she will continue to deliver pure brilliance!  5 Stunning Stars!
