Peeking into the head of a writer is like opening the door to a room filled with lunatics, villains, and demons—all running amuck while screaming at exactly the same time. In other words, complete chaos. Most days, authors are able to quieten those voices in their head and focus on the ones who yell the loudest. They are able to clutch onto the hand of the most important character and pull them from the fray.

But what happens when they’re all screaming much too loudly? What happens when they all speak at once and they pull the author into the depths of their fiery hell?

Writer’s block, that’s what.

Have you ever wondered why an author jumped into a different story while in the middle of a series you’ve been following or why they are taking too long to release or why they’ve gone genre hopping?

Well, I’ll tell you why.
They’re in hell.
The hell of their own mind.

In most cases, the writer will open new documents and tell portions of these character’s stories if only to shut them up for a while. Other times, it’s because the author simply needs to feel useful or productive when their work in progress has come to a screeching halt. Regardless of the reason, you can ask just about any writer in this world and they’ll show you right to a folder on their desktop or a notebook of many scribblings of unfinished stories.

This is our therapy. Our coping mechanism.

And most days, as a reader, you’re only welcome into the world of our stunning, finished works of art we’ve spent months and months agonizing over. The beautiful final product of our blood, sweet, tears, and insanity. Nobody ever lets you in to see what wasn’t ever meant for the world. The imperfect. The incomplete. The utter madness.

Nobody would ever share that with the world, right?
Well, they’d have to be a little crazy.
They’d have to be me.

WARNING: This is a collection of incomplete stories. Some end abruptly, almost as quickly as they started. Others let you sink your teeth in just a bit before pushing you away. A couple will leave you pulling at your hair and cursing for more. In this collection, it’s all about beginnings…there are no climaxes or epic endings. It’s madness I tell you! This is Love, Baby is the conclusion to Baylee and Warren’s story, or is it? *smirk* I thought I would die reading This is War. Well, die in a delicious way because it was just THAT good. So once I finished I was gulping like a fish out of water for This is Love. I needed this book like I needed my next breath!

How far can crazy Gabe go? Just when you think you know what is going on, K has your head twirling around like some poltergeist craziness and you can’t see which way is up anymore. The twists, the turns and surprises just keep on rocking your socks off the whole entire read.

I first fell in absolute love with Warren when I read This is War, Baby (Book 1) . Ugh, I don’t know how I can properly describe him. What is a fitting word? EVERYTHING? Yep, him being “Everything” seems to sum him up. He is complex, different, loving, loyal, fierce, and determined and the kind of guy anyone would be lucky to have. Baylee is such a wonderful heroine. She is strong, loyal, fiery and considering everything this girl has continued to be put through she is still living, surviving the worst imaginable.

Gabe, Gabe, Gabe. *Sighh* While I want to hate that man with all my being I just can’t. I guess it’s the twisted part of me, that won’t hate him. He intrigued me so much in these books, I HAVE TO KNOW MORE! So, I am pining for a book about his crazy pyscho cucumber loving self because this girl is a glutton for punishment I suppose. As long as he leaves those I love alone, we are good. Then we have Justin… Just, uhm, ok wow buddy. I will leave it at that!

I love K’s work, but I really do think this type of read is my favorite from her. While I think This is War was a darker read then This is Love, they both had the element of cringyness and definitely kept your heart pounding the entire time.

That’s really all I want to say about this book. I don’t want to give anything away and so many things could spoil it. Just read this series. Don’t wait. Pick them both up. This is War, Baby and This is Love, Baby are sure to keep your book loving heart pounding! 5 “loving this book hard” Stars!

One morning Sidney finds her mother dead on the floor. That was the start of her new life. Sidney was home schooled so she has no social or job skills. She finds a job taking care of an elderly lady during the day. In return she gets a small paycheck and an apartment.

One day Sidney meets Liam. He’s her next door neighbor. They became fast friends and Sidney finds herself falling in love with Liam. At the last minute Liam “moves” breaks Sidneys heart. A few days later she hears noise coming from Liams old apartment.  When she runs over and knocks on the door she gets the shock of her life. She thinks Liam is back but really it’s Lane, Liams twin brother. You can tell from the minute Lane and Sidney meet that they belong together. You’ll have to read the book to get the full story. All I can say is there are so many emotions and shockers that you’ll be on the edge of your seat.
