WOW!  The title of the book really says it all.  Courtney Kogan and Max Adorite  are Beautifully Brutal.   Good versus Bad, Light versus Dark.  A downright delicious mixed combination for a sexy steamy cocktail!   I of course read Wait for Morning (Sniper 1 Security) which introduced these characters, so I felt like I already knew them going in,  but I wasn’t prepared for this… GREATNESS.   In true Nicole Edwards fashion she delivers a book with lots of twists, a ton of temptation and a whole lotta hotness.

This story is told in present day as well as flashbacks which I LOVED.  It certainly painted the whole picture of the frenemies love madness.  You see how they got to where they are at.  The circumstances that brought them together and man when they were together, they were TOGETHER.  Courtney and Max being in the same room creates instant sexual tension that leaves you needing to seriously fan yourself.

Max Adorite was born into a family of the criminal underworld.  He is currently the under boss of the whole empire, donning the name “Southern Boy Mafia”.   At only 27 years old he was the second most powerful man in the organization.  He is certainly a badboy who is wealthy, extremely gorgeous and very sure of any decision he makes.  He never lets anyone in, but someone caught his eye.  Someone he can’t let go of that is on the other side of the playing field in the game he is in.  But true attraction can’t be ignored, even if Courtney Kogan was exactly who he shouldn’t want.

Courtney Kogan is labeled as one of the good guys.  Working for her father’s company she gathers Intel for Sniper 1 Security.   The girl has more sass then most men could handle, determined like a bull and always packin!  The first time she was assigned to a task and met Max, there was no denying the attraction between those two.  Body saying yes, mind telling her hell to the no.  Taking a chance involving herself with someone as powerful as Max Adorite was downright dangerous, but she finds it hard to do her mission when she is ultimately falling in love with the one person she shouldn’t.

Two families on opposite sides of the law, this weaves the perfect tale.  One that will suck you in.  Each chapter making a bold statement, not only with the headings but with the words you’ll read.
I’ve been waiting for this book and really looking forward to more Nicole Edwards greatness.  This woman has proven she can write like there is no tomorrow.  Always giving us great characters you can connect with and a positive reading experience.  Bring on the boys, I am ready for more!
